oktant is a pure cloud application of which there is no on-premises version. The cloud software is used in Microsoft Dynamics and is based on Power BI. Provision and reception of the reports is done via the Power BI cloud service. Thus, your data is also synchronised and processed through the Microsoft Cloud.
The data is uploaded to the Microsoft Cloud. The location of the data centre depends on the location of your own Microsoft tenant. Unless requested otherwise, we select a German data centre.
Ideally, oktant is used on a desktop PC: oktant was developed according to the “desktop-first” design concept and optimised for this application. The reports exploit their full potential on a suitably sized screen through the interaction of the different visuals and tables.
For the mobile application, the oktant app is available. Here, the user is presented with the most important key figures and their development on a dashboard.
oktant is a pure cloud application: Therefore, there is no local application or installation. Internet access is therefore essential for using oktant.
With its two modules, oktant specifically addresses auditors on the one hand and companies on the other. oktant audit is aimed at auditors and, thanks to integrated data preparation, standardised analyses and ease of use, provides year-round relief for full audits.
oktant finance provides you with a comprehensive and easy-to-use controlling tool with which you can monitor business developments in real time, identify risks at an early stage and carry out reliable financial analyses.
The question of security is particularly important as oktant deals with sensitive corporate data or data of particular strategic importance. oktant is based on Power BI and thus is an industry leader in data security, offering complete protection for your data.
Today, many national security agencies, financial institutions and healthcare providers trust their data to Power BI, because Power BI has achieved the highest security classifications. When data is transferred, it is encrypted using the latest end-to-end encryption technology, as it is also used in Azure.
The duration of the set-up process depends on the customer’s ERP system. In principle, all ERP systems can be connected. Implementation takes less time if the ERP system has already been connected to oktant, e.g. SAP, DATEV or NAV. Other ERP systems can be connected to oktant without extra cost to the customer. In this case, the set-up takes a little longer because the interface has to be set up first.
No special system requirements are needed, except an ERP system with an interface for the connection to the cloud and a browser.
Yes, there is a special export or print view for selected reports.
The first release of oktant took place on June 2020.
No special IT knowledge is required. The flexible access via the web browser and the high degree of user-friendliness guarantee an intuitive use of oktant.
The price of oktant depends on the size of the respective package. In order to calculate the price correctly, a few questions must first be answered: How many users are planned? How many ERP systems will be connected? How many accesses do the clients and customers want to have?
In addition to these points, the calculations are based on the question of whether you want to check and evaluate data continuously and thus monthly, or once a year or selectively.
