Standardised analyses for heterogeneous ERP systems – a contradiction?

Beitrag vom 10/12/2020

One of the main advantages of oktant is the solution of the integrated expertise. More concretely this means: The user does not have to concern himself with how he should analyse the data of his ERP system in order to receive the required information to control the company. With oktant, the user automatically receives a range of effective and relevant key figures, reports and analyses – regardless of the used ERP system. But how can this work?

oktant uses a neutralising layer: All analyses and reports are based on this oktant-own abstraction layer, so that different analyses do not have to be developed and provided for different ERP systems.

The adaptation of the original data of the ERP systems to this described intermediate layer already takes place within the oktant connectors. With their help, the different ERP systems are connected to the oktant platform. In addition to the “translation” of the individual data fields, there is also a harmonisation of different ways of handling special postings in the ERP systems, such as year-end adjustments and balances carried forward.

Analyses from ERP systems

In this way, oktant makes it possible to evaluate data from different ERP systems with the same analyses and reports.
